SUMMARY

As an instructional designer at Wiz, you will create technical content for Wiz internal employees, partners, and customers by collaborating with Technical Curriculum Developers and/or subject matter experts. In this role, you will be responsible for making instructional design decisions throughout the full content development lifecycle, from developing learning objectives through the course launch. 

As a Wiz Tech Curriculum Team member, you will also work closely with stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to help design and develop learning content for both self-paced and instructor-led training. Given the technical nature of the content, this role requires prior experience developing highly technical instructional materials. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work with subject-matter experts to scope, design, and develop hands-on, learner-centric courses. 
  • Serve as a consultant to curriculum developers as they create and maintain multi-modal training content for Wiz learners. 
  • Provide guidance on solid instructional design/curriculum development principles. 
  • Support instructors with adopting new materials and updates via creation of instructor guides and train the trainers. 
  • Support curriculum developers in creating effective learning assets (slide decks, videos, etc.) 
  • Produce/maintain job aids for curriculum developers to guide the creation of effective learning materials. 
  • Occasionally, support cross-functional teams at Wiz with learning needs analyses, content scoping, and development, etc. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • A bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field 
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in instructional design. 
  • Experience scoping, designing, and developing highly technical training. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • An understanding of various learning styles. 
  • Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods. 
  • Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, ScreenSteps, and/or Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Experience with topics related to cloud computing, cyber security, or application development.
